It hasn't even been a month since Preston and I got off that cruise ship and I already miss it. I miss the warm wind that was always blowing, the smell of the Caribbean ocean, laying in the sun all afternoon, waking up late every morning and taking naps every afternoon, the delicious food, having my bed made every time I walked back into my room, towel animals, the amazing shows, the hilarious comedians, swimming at Maegen's Bay, no responsibilities, getting dressed up every night, and most of all the BEAUTIFUL places we got to see. I'm so thankful we had the opportunity to go on vacation, and I won't soon forget the wonderful time we had!
Hey yall! Our blog is under construction right now. Give us some time and it should be back to normal! Thanks!

Moving on Up...
So, the time has come for Sawyer Paige to "move on up" to a "big girl" bed. This need for change became apparent yesterday morning when Preston and I heard a loud thud followed by crying...when Preston RAN to see what happened, she was on the ground! Luckily she didn't land on her head, or an arm, or hurt herself (just a little red spot on her forehead.) We just couldn't believe it, and honestly, I still have no idea how she managed to climb out with the rails as high as they were! Since the bed was a low as it could go, and the rails as high as they would go, Preston and I sat out to find Sawyer a toddler bed while mom and dad watched Sawyer. After searching a few places, we eventually found one. Sawyer is so proud of her new bed-she loves it(or maybe she just loves her new sense of freedom.) The first night she got out of her bed about 7 times before she eventually fell asleep, but ever since then she has made the transition very easy, taking all of her naps in it, and sleeping through the entire night without one single problem...Thank you Lord!

A Long Awaited Weekend...
SO, The weekend is finally upon us! And Im not just excited because its ordinary weekend, but because after working 10 (very LONG) days straight, Preston is OFF work for the next four days! We have much planned for the next few days, which include friends, food, fun and family time...what more could we possibly ask for?
This evening I am feeling overwhelmed with how blessed I am, especially for having such an amazing husband. He is thoughtful, kind, unselfish, hard-working, dedicated, funny, caring, and he loves the Lord. Oh, and did I mention handsome??? He's a wonderful provider, and excellent father, and my best friend. I just love Him.
Saw-Bug is in bed, so Im going to go now, and spend some time with my sweet husband. Oh, but I came across a bible verse in one of my devotionals the other day that I thought was pretty AWESOME. During these "uncertain" times, there are many people unsure about so many things. They are scared, and understandably so. I will admit that I really struggle with worrying, and there are many times when I feel like I have to take things into my own hands, because I know "best." But God has much better plans in store for us than we have for ourselves. He is so much bigger than we could ever imagine, and He is always, always, always in control, no matter what. So really, there's no reason to be afraid-Our Father, who loves us beyond what we can comprehend is with us every step of the way. We just have to put our trust in Him alone, and we will have more joy, more peace than we've ever had before. He's ALWAYS FAITHFUL!!!!
Anyways, this verse really spoke to me, so I thought I'd share:
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you WHEREVER you go." -Joshua 1:9

Sawyer Update!
So, I can hardly believe it...but Sawyer is 15 months old! Sometimes it seems like yesterday when she was just a newborn, and now she's grown into a toddler! Sawyer is a perfect example that God loves Preston and I so much...She was the best gift we ever could have been given, and it has been such a blessing to raise her. Don't get me wrong, anyone who's around her for more than an hour knows she's a lot of work (she's quite the little "spark-plug" ha ha ha), but being her mom is the most rewarding this I'll ever do. Everyday god humbles me, because being a parent is yet another was our Heavenly Father is molding us to be more like Him...
Sawyer is of course walking/running now, and she also loves to dance, and spin around until she's dizzy. She has about 40 words in her vocabulary, but I'll spare you by not putting every single one of those on here! Of course, I'm a little partial, but I think she's the smartest baby in the world...Some of her favorite things include: Playing outside, Veggie-Tales, reading books ("Mr. Brown can Moo" by Dr Seuss & "Who stole the Cookie From the Cookie Jar?" are way up there on the list!), spending time with Mamaw and Papaw, balls, Lumpy(her elephant chair), bath-time, peas, cookies, WATERMELON (her love for watermelon is unlike anything Ive ever seen before!), rummaging through her diaper bag/my purse/anything that she get her little hands on, playing "getcha" and peekaboo, Curious George, music, looking for bugs, and going to the park...just to name a few.
She's funny, bright, curious, beautiful...she's just a joy, and I'm so glad I have the privilege of being her mother!

So, this would be our very first official post... Exciting! Preston and I decided this might be a good way to keep in touch with our friends and family, and share a little bit of whats going on in our lives with the people we dont get to see very often. I also thought it was a neat way to record some of our memories, and hopefully you guys will enjoy reading!
